Here is an update from our brother firefighter about the bike program in New Albany: The 2018 New Albany Firefighters Local #410 Christmas Bike Drive is complete. Two days of giveaways and over 840 local familes received a bicycle. Thank You so much to all who donated, helped build bikes, worked the distribution or whatever role you played. We had a small setback when a GRINCH took some of our bikes, but this Great community stepped up and made this an awesome distribution and a Brighter Christmas for a lot of local children. This has been an amazing experience this year. When the call went out over social media about the theft the community responded. Neighboring Fire Depts., the Salvation Army, groups and private citizens answered the call. We even received bikes from our Kentucky neighbors. I am so proud to be a part of this wonderful program.
To the GRINCH I hope you enjoy the bicycles and have a Merry Christmas. You may have thought you could "stop Christmas from coming" but this awesome community made sure that wouldn't happen. Thanks again and I hope everyone has a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!! ... See MoreSee Less

I just just thinking abour donating my 5yos new in box bike.

Another example of giving and caring community (Lafayette Township). With your donations of nearly 100 bikes and other donations in and around Floyd County about 200 children will wake up on Christmas morning with smiles on their faces and joy in their hearts.
