We listened in on the NWS weather briefing this afternoon for Tuesday possible severe weather threat. The squall line of storms is expected to cross the district near 8 PM. The main threat will be damaging winds with 60+ MPH winds. The chance for isolated tornados is possible but at a lower risk.
Here is a checklist to get ready:
- Check your batteries.
- Listen to your weather radio. Make sure you’re on the right channel (Ch. 4 for the Louisville area)
- Turn your weather radio to alert mode
- Check your flashlights and make sure they have fresh batteries.
- Stay tuned to local media outlets for up to the minute information.
