On Friday, January 1st, 2021, Lafayette Township Fire Protection District will begin staffing and managing fire and emergency operations for fire protection in Greenville Township. The Greenville Township Fire Department name will be retained on current buildings and apparatus.
We honor the past and current Greenville Township Volunteer Fire Department members who sacrificed countless hours away from family and friends to serve the community they so much loved. We will continue to try to carry out those founding members’ legacy.
The volunteer firefighters who staffed Greenville Township Volunteer Fire Department selflessly for many years were offered to continue their service as members of the Lafayette Township Fire Protection District and to continue serving in their community. We welcome them as brothers and sisters without reservation because we know them and have worked beside them for many years.
Lafayette Township is ready to move Greenville Township Fire Protection forward and provide fire protection and prevention services for Greenville Township twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, including the Town of Greenville. With the focus of delivering continued excellent quality service to our customers. This growth in our service will be beneficial for everyone we serve as it offers many significant advantages.
