It was mentioned that back in the day when the men of the community came together and decided to organize a fire department that one of the first arguments was over who was going to be Chief. Some say Hugh Baylor was the first Chief, however, it was told that once it was taken to a vote, Irvin Aemmer actually became the First Chief.
