Saturday afternoon around 4 PM, Lafayette Twp Fire Protection District responded to a report of a vehicle crash in the 6500 block of Moser Knob Rd. Rescue 1 arrived on scene with a vehicle that had crashed through a utility pole snapping it in two and uprooting the base from the ground. The vehicle traveled a few hundred more feet before hitting a curb on a driveway and coming to a stop. The victim of the crash was transported to the hospital by Air Methods Air Ambulance. The crash did cut power to the surrounding area for a few hours until utility crews could fix the pole.
